(the perfect time in my opinion).and the “deception turns to romance” troop is a cult classic of the romantic movies. The basic premise is the main character Patrick (played by Heath Ledger) is paid to take out Kat (played by Julia Stiles) so that her sister Bianca (played by Larisa Oleynik) can date. With that, it's a hilarious movie loosely based on Shakespeares play "The Taming of the Shrew".

My review

Now for the real review with all the juicy details. It really is one of the funniest rom-coms that you can find. There are jokes and references thrown at your face every 5 seconds and amazing side characters that add lots to the movie. But when needed there are still serious moments that don't take away from the overall factor of funniness, It's the perfect balance in my opinion. My personal favorite scene is when Patrick get tickets to go to “Club Skunk” The perfect hangout for your local indie rock chick, Kat attends there with her friend/supporting character Mandella, When Patrick finds her its the first time we see him start to fall for her. He asks her on a date to a party, and the scene ends.

Alright... so final thoughts.

It's SO GOOD top 5 movies for me.

the humor the romantic take and everything in between, 100% recommend.

now for things they could do better.

MORE. MANDELLA. come on, I understand why she didn't get lots of screen time, There'd be too many side characters. The movie itself is on the borderline of having too many side characters, and so giving her more screen time would feel like ANOTHER main character and there are already almost 5 main characters! But they make up for it by giving her a love interest of her own, that completes the friend Circle. so with that I give the movie a 4.5 out of 5!
